It has been a long time coming, but I am about to take my first multiday trip to Universal Studios Orlando, Florida! To say I am excited is an understatement! I have been to Universal Studios Orlando a few times before, but they have only been day trips during a WDW vacation. Leading up to this trip, I wanted to share my Top 5 list of things that I am excited to do on property.
1. Staying on Property!

Having never been to the park on back-to-back days, it is pretty self explanatory that I have never stayed at a property hotel. I will be spending two nights at Lowe's Portofino Bay Resort. A little piece of Italy nestled along the water front of the theme park, this premier property is home to 3 pools, 8 restaurants and bars, and some exclusive park amenities that I will be sure to dive into after my trip. During my hosted trip, I will be taking tours of some of the other hotels on property. If you would like to see/ learn more about a specific hotel, please let me know :)

2. Riding the VelociCoaster and Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure
Since I have last been to Universal Studios Orlando two main attractions have been added to the resorts already long list of top notch thrill rides. On the top of my "must do" list is the VelociCoaster. Located in the Jurassic World area of Islands of Adventure, this attraction tops out at 70mph of twists, turns, barrel rolls, and upside down loops, all while guests are trying not to get their heads eaten by velociraptors. Fun fact: this ride has no brakes until the very end (scared face emoji).
To keep your engine running, I am also excited to ride Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure. Having one of my childhood highlights be waiting in line at Border's for the newest Harry Potter novel to come out, it is without a doubt that I am excited to give this ride a go. The story of this attraction is that you are riding on your way to one of Hagrid's Care of Magical Creatures classes in the Floridian Forrest. Along the way, you'll encounter numerous magical creatures and even Hagrid himself.

3. Halloween Horror Nights
This next shocks even me. Normally I avoid all things scary-no joke scary movies are not my thing, but for some reason being able to attend Halloween Horror Nights has me giddy. Rated the best Halloween event for the past 12 years, HHN is celebrating their 30th anniversary by bringing back some fan favorite characters and haunts. Made up of 10 different houses, 5 different scare zones, and an entertainment zone there will be nowhere for me to run (except maybe in line to try all the themed goodies).

4. Going to Volcano Bay
I always know when I've officially made it to Orlando when I see Volcano Bay in my windshield. This will be my first experience going to this waterpark and as an added bonus, I get in an hour earlier because I am staying on property...talk about a huge perk! Made up of 3 different villages, this waterpark has attractions for everyone from the thrill seekers, to the loungers, the too youngers, and the lazy riverers. I am excited to see their TapuTapu system (a watch that you wear to scan into slides that will give you a "come back" time so you're not standing in line, you can also make purchases with this system so you can lock your wallet away for the day). I was also given a special piece of advice to bring your own towel as they only provide rentals in the park.

5. Food...DUH
Number 5 has to be food and beverages. The theming of lands in all three parks, the resorts, and the City Walk is not only incredible, but comes with some great food and beverages as well. From Butter Beer in Hogsmeade, to Pad Thai at Mythos, the Mac & Cheese from the Kitchen at the HardRock, a Duffy's Beer at Fast Food Boulevard in Springfield, Sushi at my resort, and to put the cherry on top, a milkshake from Thoothsome Chocolate Emporium, I mean, how could I not be excited? My stomach is literally rumbling just thinking about all of this yummy goodness. I'd love to hear your must haves when you visit Universal Studios Orlando!
